This project is for the new Microbiology Department (MICRO) chair, Dr. Shabaana Khader. This renovation is a part of the effort to recommission the BSL3 Lab on the 7th floor of Cummings Life Science Center (CLSC). MICRO is depending on the recommissioning of the BSL3 Lab to continue their research, which is currently taking place within temporary lab space on the 10th floor of CLSC.
The Contractor will be responsible for providing all materials and services as specified in the construction drawings and specifications prepared by MEPIS. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to the following:
Modification of existing MEP infrastructure as indicated on bid documents. Patching of demo scars and replacing finishes as indicated on bid documents. Adding partitions and wall cavities as indicated on bid documents. Relocating plumbing fixtures. Connections to lab equipment. Removal of unnecessary construction and components. Confirming functionality of devices and components to remain.
