Solution Center closes / IT Equipment Purchases Move Online via Dell, GovConnection, and Apple Catalogs in BuySite

In response to the ever growing trend towards online purchasing over traditional brick-and-mortar stores, IT Services is creating a new process for buying technology online that will simplify purchasing and delivery. As part of this transition, the Solution Center located in the University Bookstore closed on July 19 after serving the University for 20 years. Click here to learn more about this transition.

Departmental purchases of computer hardware and peripherals can currently be done online in BuySite using integrated catalogs from Dell. Peripheral equipment - via GovConnection punch-out - and Apple hosted products will be available in BuySite. For large orders or orders requiring special handling, please email itservices@uchicago.edu or visit this site for more information.

Desktop and laptop equipment can also be leased from IT Services, which helps departments plan and normalize operational expenses.
